Perfume is full and still sealed with its ties. Bottom of bottle is marked 70% alcohol. Today we classify anything less than 68% alcohol as parfum. This is from the 1920s. Label is in fine condition for being 100 years old. His hair feels like it might be mink. I would classify Golliwogg has a musk perfume and probably the best ever made.
Le Golliwogg perfume is named after a character from children's stories of 19th century and the African culture, although today that inspiration and design can be considered very racist. It was launched in 1919 in France, and in 1925 in USA. |
